Being near the St. Johns means the air holds moisture later into the morning than it does a few miles inland. Surfaces that stay wet longer stay green longer, and that shows up on siding, on fences and along the bottom courses of brick.

There is a lot of older housing stock here, which changes the approach. Original wood siding, aged stucco and lime-based mortar all want less pressure than a modern build, so those get a soft wash and the time to let it work.
